Kona is one of the happiest dogs you’ll ever meet, who loves other dogs, and really loves people.

He is very well trained and a perfect gentleman who loves to go places with his people.

He was adopted from a shelter by his current owner, who is facing the very difficult decision to have to find Kona a new home. While it breaks his heart to do so, he realizes that with his demanding work schedule, he simply cannot give Kona the love, companionship, attention and exercise he deserves.

He is hoping to find a wonderful family who will cherish Kona as much as he has. The perfect home will have a nice big fenced yard, some great kids to play with, and people who are active and have time to spend with him. He gets along very well with other dogs.

Kona’s Personality

Kona is one of the happiest dogs you’ll ever meet, who loves other dogs, and really loves people. He’s an active guy, so he’d be great in a home with another dog to play with, and preferably one with a yard. He does great in social environments, so you can take him with you to festivals, on jogs, to the dog park, etc. When he gets in trouble he knows it, but it’s hard to stay mad at him when he comes and snuggles up to you afterwards.

Kona’s Current Home Environment

I live in a one bedroom apartment with just myself and Kona. I have no yard, but live in a good neighborhood to walk him in.

Kona’s Current Family:

I don’t have much of a family down here in Texas, it’s just Kona and I. I did come from a family that who has had dogs their whole lives, and loves all kind of pets.

Kona’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Kona loves all kinds of toys, all kinds of foods, and a lot of activities. I give him durable toys he can chew on which he loves. He eats dry dog food for dinner every night, and his favorite treats are Milk Bones and Pupperoni. Kona loves any activity that gets him out of the house, including going on runs, to the dog park, or just hanging out on the patio of a restaurant. He’s still a little skeptical about swimming, but just needs some more practice.

Cute Kona Story:

When I went in to adopt Kona I instantly fell in love with him. He loved to play, but just as fast as he would get excited, he would get tired and cuddle up next to you. When we were leaving the pound, we looked at him one more time, and put his paw up on the cage as if he was waving goodbye. I adopted him a few minutes after that.

Why is Kona Being Rehomed?

I don’t want to rehome him, but am being forced to rehome him due to my new job. I simply can’t give him the time that he needs, and I don’t think it’s fair to keep him cooped up in my apartment all day.

Kona’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

I would love it of Kona went to a loving family who had a lot of time to give to him. He would do great in a home with another dog to play with, and it would make him happy to have a yard he could run around in.
