Hi, My name is Joey!

American Hairless Terrier For Adoption Tampa Florida

Joey is so cool! He is a very rare purebred American Hairless Terrier. He has big brown eyes, a heart of gold and a very sweet and devoted personality. He is playful and fun, but likes to stay close to you. He is crate trained, calm and very well behaved.

Joey is a real snuggle pup. So smart and companionable.

Joey is desperately seeking a new home in or near Seminole, Florida – near Tampa/St. Petersburgh. The arrival of a new baby in his home has made Joey’s life less than ideal, and he is very nervous around the now-toddler. His owner loves Joey so much, but realizes that he would have a better life in a child-free home with an owner who has the time and ability to cherish Joey.

Joey is a very low-maintenance dog since he is hairless. He just needs a bath about twice a month. He eats a grain free diet and is very healthy. Joey is neutered, up to date on his shots and perfectly house trained. He weighs just 12 pounds.

If you have been looking for the ultimate lap dog to dote upon and keep you company, Joey is sure to fit the bill. This little guy will definitely leave paw prints on your heart. ?Please offer this adorable little guy a loving, forever home today.

Joey’s Personality

Joey is a lap dog, he loves to snuggle and cuddle. He is a nervous dog and becomes attached very easy to his master. He is clicker trained, so snapping fingers and he is ready to obey. He can sit and stay on command and wants to please.

Joey’s Current Home Environment

My home environment has changed. I now have a 2 year old and Joey has not adjusted well. He is too upset about my lack of attention to him now and I fell he will be happier in a new home where he is focused on more.

Joey’s Current Family:

We have a 2 year old little boy and our dog Joey.

Joey’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

He loves to run and play outside, but will not steer too far from his master. He loves to sleep in his crate. He plays with his rubber ball and loves to chase after it and retrieve it.

Cute Joey Story:

Joey is a very sweet little pup. He just wants attention and will snuggle with you any time of day. He is a rare breed and hard to find. He has perfect soft skin if you maintain a grain-free diet.

Why is Joey Being Rehomed?

I am rehoming Joey because he is too stressed out in my home. He misses all the attention I was able to give him before my son was born and he is jealous of my son. He does not do well with my toddler excited in his face..he is just too overwhelmed.

Joey’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

I think Joey would do best with a older couple that wants a lap dog with no grooming maintenance. He would also do well with older children in the house, but I would not recommend children under the age of 7 because he gets too stressed out. He needs bathed 1 every 2 weeks.
