Meet Beau, a sweet, fun dog who loves attention. Pet him once and he will be your friend for life.? Beau is a gorgeous White Lab mix. He is 9 years young, very healthy, neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. He gets along very well with other dogs, cats and children. Beau is an active dog who loves going for long walks, especially Runyan Canyon.
Beau is a very loving dog who at one time helped a young boy endure cancer treatments through his calm, faithful presence. Now Beau`s family are dealing with serious financial issues that have forced them to sell their home and move to a small apartment. They are in desperate need of a new home for Beau, and are heartbroken to have to make this difficult choice. They are hopeful that a home can be found for Beau with a family who will cherish him as much as they have.
They are looking for a home in which Beau will get loving attention. preferably, a place where he will be taken for walks or hikes regularly. They hope that his new family will love him spend time with him.

Beau is an outdoor dog who currently has a back yard to run around in. His home is in southern California, he sleeps in an open carport where his bed, and food & water are kept.
Beau’s Current Family:
My husband and I have 4 children who are grown and have moved out of state. ( 2 are currently living overseas). My husband is self employed and frequently travels for business.
We enjoy long walks in the neighborhood and hikes such as runyan canyon.
Beau’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
Beau regularly eats a mix of dry and wet food. He also enjoys some cooked chicken or meat on occasion.
He likes going for walks and hikes.
Cute Beau Story:
In 2012, a friend’s son was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Unfortunately, after surgery and chemo, he had some complications and needed ongoing treatments. For 6 months, the boy would come to our house once a week to play with Beau. The little boy would spend 2 hours playing with Beau. Grooming him, “training” him to sit, and do tricks. Beau was always gentle and patient. The little boys mother was able to have 2 hours of free time knowing that her son was happy and safe and excited to come back again. Playing with Beau became an incentive to help the young boy get through his treatments.
Why is Beau Being Rehomed?
When Beau came to our home, we had 4 kids and another dog. Now the kids have moved away, our other dog has passed away, and due to financial reasons we must sell our house. We will be moving to a small apartment. We also have taken on extra work and will be spending long hours away from home. Beau deserves a home where he will receive more time and attention than we are able to give him.
