Hi, my name is Coco!
I am a male ringneck dove looking for a new home! I am perfect for an elderly couple or even a single occupant, and as the only pet. I am very easy going, clean and have been hand tamed since hatching. I like to fly free within the confines of a room, so I cannot be locked up 24/7. I am an easy pet to take care of and I just ask for someone loving and kind to take me in. I lived with a female Dove for many years and loved having the company.?I?am not a chewer like hooked bill parrots are and I?cannot bite?because I am not a hooked bill. Dove’s Personality:

Has been hand tamed since hatching, is very friendly and loving and is used to being spoiled and showered with affection.

Dove’s Current Home Environment:

Small apartment, very quiet, just me and Coco.

Dove’s Current Family:

I am 64 years old and live alone with Coco and a small diamond dove, which is caged. I work at home, so Coco is used to having me around all the time. He flies free between my bedroom and my work area, loves to perch on ceiling fans. I bought 5 pairs of men’s crew socks and put them on the ceiling fan blades for cleanliness and comfort.

Dove’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Coco loves mirrors and the same routine every day. He has a very closed territory. He has the freedom to fly into my living room, but stays within the confines of my bedroom and work area. I have made a nest for him and he goes to it sometimes, loves perches in front of windows, which have the blinds all the way up for his convenience. He spends his times eating, sleeping and perching either on the ceiling fan or in front of one of the windows.

Why is Dove?Being Rehomed?

I am moving to Australia and they will not permit me to enter the country with a bird.

Dove’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Must have no dogs or cats. Prospective parent must let Coco fly free within the confines of at least one room. I have a large cage with the door open that he goes into occasionally, but he sleeps either on a ceiling fan or in front of the window of my bedroom. I prefer an elderly woman, like myself, who will make Coco the center of her life and give him all the love I have. I am willing to pay this person a monthly fee to take special care of Coco. I also prefer someone who is home all the time, as Coco is very social and has never really been left alone, except for quick errands I run.
