Meet Barkely and June Bug!

Beagle Dogs For Adoption

This delightful bonded pair of purebred male Beagles is looking for a loving new home with a family who have time to spend with them, a securely fenced back yard, and who are really, really good at giving tummy rubs and back scratches. These boys are both very healthy, neutered and up to date on their shots. They will be rehomed with their supplies.

No cuter twosome will you find – these boys are the ying to each other’s yang. They sleep together, cuddled up in a cute brown and white ball of fur, they play together, and they keep each other great company.

These sweet boys are house-broken, well behaved and have very nice temperaments. They would be the perfect addition to a family with children older than 6, who are looking for a pair of very loving, adorable and devoted companions. They are being rehomed by their owner, who is devastated to have to make this very difficult decision. Unfortunately a move has been necessary, and without a back yard and little time to spend with these boys, he feels that it is not fair to them and that they would have a much better life with someone with more time and space for them. These boys are amazing. Please offer them a home today. They will fill your life with love, joy, laughter and companionship.

Barkely and June Bug’s Personality

Both dogs are very loving and caring towards one another. June Bug loves to have his belly rubbed and barkely loves to sit on your lap. They will sleep right next to each other all night long and cuddle on the couch. June Bug is more laid back and barkely is high energy and wants to play all the time. They will chase it other until they are really tired and then just plop down wherever they are.

Barkely and June Bug’s Current Home Environment

Due to some personal changes I no longer have a yard and I feel this has greatly affected the boys. They really missing running around all day and going in and out of the house at will. We currently live in a 2 bedroom condo and they only go outside on leashes. They freely roam about the house during the day while I am at work.

Barkely and June Bug’s Current Family:

We are a family of 5, and planning for more, but do not currently live together. This also causes the boys to be alone for longer periods of time than I feel is healthy for them. However, when around the 3 kids they are really good with them and would do well with a family

Barkely and June Bug’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

They love tennis balls in will chase them for as long as you will throw them. They also enjoy really hard nyla bones. They eat Kirkland Nature Domain Turkey Meal and Sweet Potato dry food. They also really like beggin strips and milk bones. June bug will eat both bowls of food if you let him.

Cute Barkely and June Bug Story:

Barkely was our first dog and June Bug came along as puppy and was very cuddly with Barkely. Barkely would let him lick and chew his ear while sitting on him a puppy. June Bug has conditioned to do this even though he is 39lbs and barkely lets him without even a wimper.

Why is Barkely and June Bug Being Rehomed?

Without a yard and my long work hours I just don?t feel like I can give them all the play time and love that they deserve. I never wanted to have them in a small place but that is where I am now and it is just not healthy or happy for them. They really need lots of room to roam around and explore. Also, with a growing family our and growing list of demands we just cannot give them the attention and love that they deserve. This has been a very difficult decision that I am still struggling with.

Barkely and June Bug’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

It would be great if they could go to a couple or family with a large yard that they could freely roam around. They really love chasing each other until they drop and as hunting dogs by nature they love to follow a scent as far as they can. When we would go for walks in the woods they love inspecting every scent they can find. The family should have experience with dogs as with two it is extra work but they are so easy it would be ok for first time pet owners. The owners should be active people who can take them on long walks or even run with them. I tried it a bunch of times and they really enjoyed it. I want them to be indoor sleepers as they really like cuddling with people on the couch at night.

Additional Comments:

this has been and still is a hard decision and I really want the boys to be happy in a new home.
