I have been adopted! 🙂

I am a Male Standard grey Chinchilla looking for a loving, forever home in Jacksonville, Florida. I am Approximately 2 years old.

Chu Chu is skittish but he likes to be scratched under his chin and pet every so often. He doesn’t like to be chased around his cage or held, that I’ve found, has made him more skittish so I just pet him when he lets me.

Chu Chu’s Personality

Chu Chu is skittish but he likes to be scratched under his chin and pet every so often. He doesn’t like to be chased around his cage or helld, that I’ve found, has made him more skittish so I just pet him when he lets me.

Chu Chu’s Current Home Environment

Chu Chu is in one of the bedrooms in the back of the house. The two dogs are kept up front in the living room.

I am 39 and disabled, my husband is 63 and semi-retired.

Chu Chu’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

He likes dust baths the most. His favorite foods are of course a cheerio or a small piece of apple. He eats timothy hay and chinchilla pelleted food.

When I was scratching Chu Chu under his neck he clutched my fingers tight and held them for a moment.

Why is Chu Chu Being Rehomed?

Landlord and pet deposit fee, plus I’m not as into chinchilla as I thought I would be.

I am looking for someone who can bring him out of his shell and have him coming to them instead of shying away. Someone who is educated on chinchilla care.
