Hi, My name is Ella Bella!
I am a very pretty Yellow Labrador Retriever mix. I am just 4 years old, very healthy, up to date on my shots and spayed. I am a very well-behaved dog and fully house-broken.? I’m not good with cats, and would be best as an only pet – or as a companion to another dog, providing we are introduced properly.
One of the things I am really good at is making you feel special. It doesn’t matter if you have been gone 5 minutes – or all day long – I will always greet you at the door with a lot of gusto!
I have plenty of energy and love to play fetch in the back yard. I also love to go for walks and runs. My most favorite thing is spending time with people – I just love them.
My current owner loves me very much, but her circumstances have changed drastically, and she can no longer offer me the care and housing I need and deserve. She is hoping to find a wonderful family to cherish me and provide me with a loving, forever home.
I was a rescue dog. I was found in a church parking lot, very thin and afraid of everything. I have blossomed into a very healthy, confident and loving dog. I do still get scared when it thunders, so I need a family who can be home with me during thunderstorms to make me feel safe.
Please offer me a home today. I will wow you with wiggles, lavish you with licks, and show you exactly what unconditional love is all about!

Ella Bella’s Personality
Miss Ella Bella is a sweet dog with lots of energy. She loves to play fetch and go for walks/runs. She enjoys being around people but not always around other animals. She could do ok with another dog as long as they were properly introduced but definitely not with another cat. Being the only pet would be best. She does get scared when it storms and it storms A LOT down here! I have to stay up with her and she has scratched a door when I had to leave while it was raining.
Ella Bella’s Current Home Environment
I live in the heart of the city and had a big backyard where we often played fetch. We go for regular walks. I don’t let her off the leash because she may run into another dog.
Ella Bella’s Current Family:
It is myself and my now my new boyfriend. He has had allergic reactions with Ella.
Ella Bella’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
She loves anything that can be thrown! Walks, fetch, running. She loves chicken, though she is fed dry dog food.
Cute Ella Bella Story:
Ella was a rescue dog, found in a church parking lot in New Orleans. She cowered to anything that moved and was very skinny. Within just a few months of receiving lots of love she transformed. She loves people, found her voice and is healthy!
Why is Ella Bella Being Rehomed?
There are several reasons I need to rehome Ella. I have gone out of the country for trips over six week every year plus other shorter trips throughout the year. Since I got back this last time she has gotten more anxious especially when it storms. It storms A LOT in New Orleans. I think what is best for her would be a home where people will be home consistently (with normal travel of course). And I think it would be best if she was somewhere it didn’t storm as much. I have also moved and cannot have her in my new apartment.
Ella Bella’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
She would do best as the only pet in a home where people can give her a lot of exercise and not travel for long periods of time. She would also do best in a place that doesn’t storm as much. I am interested in talking with someone about options to rehome her elsewhere in the country.
