Meet Mini!
Kitten Schmitten! If you are looking for a loveable feline companion, look no further than Mini!
Mini is a very affectionate, playful and funny cat. She loves people and is the ultimate lap cat. Despite her current proportions, Mini was a tiny little girl when she was adopted by her family 10 years ago – thus the name.
Mini’s family is heartbroken to have to find their beloved pet a new home, but circumstances have made it necessary for the family to move in with relatives. Since one family member has an immune system problem, there can be no cats in the home.
Mini’s “purrfect” home will be with a loving family with kids older than 6. She loves to be the center of attention, and really enjoys being around people. Ideally she would be an only pet, but cat-friendly dogs, or another cat may be OK.
Mini will be rehomed with all of her supplies, along with the very sincere gratitude of her family, who would very much love to keep in touch with her.
Please offer this fabulously fluffy cat a home today. She will pounce and purr her way into your heart, and definitely make life more fun for everyone in the family.

Mini’s Personality
Mini is an easy going cat who is purr-fectly content to lay in your lap and take a nap. Other times she gets a burst of energy that will send her “galloping” through the house meowing especially if mosquito hawks have found their way inside. She is incredibly affectionate, loves having her chin scratched but also love the occasional play fight. She loves playing with string/yarn, feathers, toy mice and anything else small that she can bat around the floor (usually my daughter’s hair-ties). She loves curling up in/on boxes and trying to squeeze into any nook or cranny she can squeeze herself into. She loves sitting on the window sill on a warm day and she will go bonkers over some dried catnip or toys with catnip in them.
Mini’s Current Home Environment
Currently, Mini lives in a single-story house in a suburban neighborhood. Generally, it is mostly quiet as we spend most of the day away with work/school. She has been an only pet for about 4 years now. She is an indoor cat, though we occasionally will take her out on the back patio when she seems interested but it’s usually short-lived. She has been around the kids since they were babies but generally prefers to keep her distance with little ones by seeking out a quiet corner away from them. Mini is litter box trained and we currently keep it in the laundry room.
Mini’s Current Family:
We adopted Mini through a friend who worked at a vet clinic 10 years ago. She was the last and the tiniest of a litter that the clinic was trying to find homes for. At the time, my husband and I had another cat named Venus for whom we wanted to adopt a friend. It was love at first sight for my husband and Mini and they have been two peas in a pods ever since. We named her Mini because we was so SUPER tiny and would find the tiniest of places to squeeze herself into.
Mini’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
She eats dry cat food. She is currently eating Wellness Grain Free but has also been on Science Diet and Iams previously. She drinks water from a water fountain bowl. She loves toys with feathers, small toy mice to bat around (she ALWAYS ends up batting them under the sofa or closet door though) and LOVES anything with catnip. Mini’s front paws are de-clawed so even though she will “scratch” things it doesn’t do any damage.
Cute Mini Story:
Mini has always had an ornery streak to her (same as my husband) and when she was a kitten one of her favorite things to do was to “hunt” Venus, our older Calico/Siamese mix. Venus would often just chill on the floor relaxing, minding her business with the occasional swish of her tail. The swishing of the tail was too much for Mini and she would hunker down around some piece of furniture nearby waiting for her moment to pounce. We’d sit there and watch her butt wiggle just before she took off and made her move. Then we’d laugh at the play fight that followed. If Venus was up to it she’d go along for a little while and when she was done she’d sit on Mini until she got fed up and managed to wiggle herself loose.
Why is Mini Being Rehomed?
We are moving due to job opportunities and will need to move back in with my parents for some time before finding our own place. My mom is immunocompromised and we cannot bring Mini with us into her home.
Mini’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
We are looking for a responsible family with older children or a couple who will take care of Mini and love her like we do. Although she did well with our other cat we are not certain how she will react to another cat.
