Bobo has been ADOPTED!

I am a black-white-cream Male Beagle Dog. I am 8 years old and weigh 26 lb. I live in San Francisco, CA.

Bobo is a delight! This healthy, neutered purebred beagle is just 8 years young, very healthy, neutered and up to date on his shots. He is a typical Beagle – the perfect family dog. He has a laid back personality, and loves to spend time with his humans. He’s a low-maintenance dog; he needs a good walk every day, a fun game of tug-o-war with his toys, and a long cuddle at the end of the day. Bobo has separation anxiety, so he really does not like to be left alone. He would do best with an owner who is home most of the time, or with another dog to keep him company.

Bobo is being rehomed by his owner, Nikita. She is heartbroken to have to part with her beloved companion, but her work situation has become so busy that she is unable to devote the time to Bobo that he needs and deserves. He is on his own 7 days a week, and Nikita realizes that this is not the best situation for him.

She is hoping to find a loving family, couple or single who will cherish Bobo as much as she has. She hopes to find someone who is retired or works from home so that Bobo does not have to spend a lot of time alone.

Bobo would love a fenced yard with a doggie door he can go in and out through. He’s good with other dogs, so a doggie friend would also be great. Above all, Bobo is looking for someone to love him and spend time basking in the glow of his unconditional love.

BoBo’s Personality

BoBo is extremely loving and affectionate. He is a pretty mellow dog and, when at home, he mostly naps. He loves to play tag of war and any other chasing/wrestling/rolling around game you can come up with. His favorite thing to do outdoors is to be a hound and sniff around. BoBo is curious and playful. He loves hiking and going to the beach and he is also content staying in and cuddling.

He gets anxious being home alone. He has a tendency to bark or dig when he gets upset. Zap collar works well on vibration mode and i always put it on before leaving the house. He will be happiest with people that spend a lot of time at home. He loves being around family and he would always make sure to be right in the middle of things.

BoBo’s Current Home Environment

BoBo used to stay with my parents during the week. At their place, he is free to come and go through a doggie door and that is the best arrangement for him. I live in the city. And when he is in my apartment he likes to sleep on hardwood floors warmed by the sun. His separation anxiety doesn’t happen as much when he has access to a backyard. BoBo is housebroken. He doesn’t have accidents when there is access to an outdoor space. In an apartment, if he really needs to go, i trained him to use the tub.

We lead a pretty quiet life. I take him to the park 2x day and on another short walk at lunch. He is pretty low maintenance if you spend a lot of time with him.

He has been going to Wag hotel in SF since he was a puppy for boarding and sometimes for daycare.

BoBo’s Current Family:

BoBo has been staying with my parents and, separately, with me. He loves being with groups of people and is always happy when i have friends over. He loves children and is friendly with other dogs. he has never had aggression issues.

BoBo’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

BoBo loves tag of war. Otherwise he is only interested in toys that you are holding! He loves hiking and the beach. He likes rolling around on the floor with me. If you let him, he would love to sleep with you but he also knows when you tell him to go to his place.

His favorite foods are avocados and cheese! Otherwise, i have him on Natural Balance Grain Free Kibble.

He knows how to: sit, stay, lay down, come here, shake, say hello (barks), wait, no, ok, cookie (waits for a treat), lets go outside (runs to front door), and …out of the kitchen!. He also knows how to open car windows because he likes to ride with windows down! He asks for food and water by scratching the bowl with his paw.

Cute BoBo Story:

BoBo likes to sneak into bed in early hours of the morning. Sometimes i wake up to his warm breathing next to me: He would be on his back, legs stretched out, snoring lightly…a picture of happiness and contentment.

Why is BoBo Being Rehomed?

My work schedule has changed. Unfortunately i am working without days off and no longer able to provide BoBo with the love and care he deserves.

BoBo’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

I am looking for someone who either works from home or spends a lot of time at home. BoBo has separation anxiety and he is happiest when he gets to spend a lot of time with you. He loves being in groups of people so if you have children, he is the right dog for you. Ideally, i would prefer for you to have a backyard/patio so he can go in and out when you are not at home as this is what he is used to.
